In 1906, many of the SDA leaders in Battle Creek, Michigan, had begun to question the inspiration of Ellen White. A.T. Jones, J.H. Kellogg, and others raised concern about Ellen White's testimonies. One of those men who had concerns was William Sadler. Sadler was an SDA physician who graduated from Battle Creek and was working at the Sanitarium. To alleviate the concerns of these men, Ellen White asked them to write to her and send her their objections and she promised to answer them. In good faith, these men all wrote to Ellen White, but she did not answer any of them. Below is Dr. Sadler's letter to her: Sadler letter to Ellen WhiteBrother Anderson, moderator, www.nonegw.org
