Ellen White taught that human health is empowered by "vital energy" and that this energy is drained from the body by sexual acts and even sexual thoughts. When vital force is diminished by excessive sexual activity, the result is disease. When animal (sexual) passions are aroused, spirituality is diminished. Therefore, she admonished her followers against engaging in any activity that might possibly arouse the passions. This included dancing, attending the theater, reading novels, going to art museums, attending the circus, eating meat or spicy foods, or drinking coffee or tea. Did this counsel benefit the SDA people? Was the doctrine of vital force the truth? Or was it a doctrine of demons? Find out the truth: Animal PassionsThere are two paths leading away from truth: One is liberalism. The other is hyper-moralism. Brother Anderson, moderator, www.nonegw.org
